WEEKLY PROGRAM SCHEDULE:
Nov. 26: It's Thanksgiving
week, and we'll have a roundtable discussion.
Dec. 3: Kirk Sandberg of Adair Homes will talk about affordable
housing options in Central Oregon.
Dec. 10: Kiwanis has supported the 4-H FFA Auction at the fair
for more than 50 years, but there's more to 4-H than livestock. Tina
Hohman, the 4-H program assistant at the Deschutes County Extension
Service, will tell us more.
Dec. 17: The choir from Central Christian School will entertain
us on spouses day.
Dec. 24: Christmas week. No meeting.
Dec. 31: New Year's week. No meeting.
Jan. 7: Diane Sloane, the campus executive officer for OSU/Cascades,
is seeking comments about the recently launched strategic plan for the
school.
Jan. 14: Jan Eggleston from the Deschutes Children's Foundation,
whose Redmond programs are housed in the Becky Johnson Center, will
tell us about that spectrum and how we can continue to help them.
Jan. 21: Jerry Andres, CEO of Eagle Crest, a member of the Jeld-Wen
Communities, will talk about the company's role in Central Oregon and
plans for the future.
Jan. 28: Carl and Linda Anderson were part of a PNW Kiwanis mission
to Romania to renovate an orphanage in 1994. Carl will talk about their
travails in restoring water and electrical systems and replacing 300
windows.
Feb. 4: Redmond resident Ron Alley and his wife made a cross
country trip in a Model T Ford. We'll hear about their adventures.
