About Sam Johnson Park: Sam Johnson Park was deeded to the City of Redmond in the 1980s for a community park that serves the families and children of Redmond. Kiwanis adopted the park in 1987 and helped raise funds to install the playground structure in 1990.

Project Concept: Build a playground and park that serves the whole community (0 ? 100 years), including those living with disabilities, because everybody deserves a place to play.

Project Mission: To create a fun space of play for the whole community that fosters collaboration, communication and enjoyment for all. Establish Sam Johnson Park as a premier park facility in Central Oregon.

Funding Needs: The total park design is approximately $1,000,000 with the playground area estimated to be $450,000. Accessible flooring for the playground area is $150,000. The City of Redmond currently has $90,000 budgeted for the project.
