Grant Guidelines

  1. Grants will be made for the enrichment of the lives of children and young people in Redmond OR and its immediate vicinity.
  2. Secondary consideration will be given to projects that enrich the lives of children and young people in Deschutes county, and lastly for other charitable purposes.
  3. Requests will be accepted throughout the year and will be awarded on a first come first serve basis, contingent on availability of funds.
  4. Requests must include the purpose and cost of the project as well as any other proposed means of funding.
  5. For requests to be considered, you must complete our application and submit supporting documentation if applicable (statement, invoice, or quote). Failure to do so could result in your application being rejected.
  6. Grants are made for special worthy charitable purposes which can either have non-profit status or are exempt for tax purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
  7. A copy of your organization’s IRS Non-Profit Determination letter or an explanation letter of your IRS tax status is required along with your application.
  8. Any grant recipient may apply for funding for the same project in a subsequent year, but such grants will be considered on the same basis as any new application. Applicants should not rely on the Kiwanis of Redmond OR Club for continued grants for projects which are considered perpetual.
